SPAM from CCBILL
Ok ever since I changed all my email addresses in my ccbill affiliate account to my new yahoo address I have been getting 50-60 spam messages now per day compared to what I was getting which was like 5-8 and I have about 60 affiliate programs I promote on CCBILL, so it clearly means that CCBILL is either selling my email address to people or they are sending out the spam themselves.
I also have each affiliate account set to not send me emails so I know the affiliates are not sending it and I know my main account is set to not receive emails from ccbill how can they do this and get away with it? Does anyone else have this problem? I notice that all the emails contain mostly re-direct links, links to buy drugs etc. I've clearly proved to myself that ccbill is the reason for all this spam now how do I stop it? To test this out and see what I mean, open a new yahoo email and go into your ccbill affiliate account and change your email to the new email.. |
Or maybe its an issue with yahoo, have you tried a different free email provider?
Seriously why in the hell would ccbill need to spam let alone risk so much to do so? Same would go with selling their email lists. |

I don't really believe ccbill is sending out the emails cause as you say, they would lose so much, but I do believe they are selling them. Maybe they run other sites that send out adult news letters to people or advertisements that we don't know about. All I can say is that after I changed all my email addresses to the free email account I have been getting blasted. I know that yahoo is responsible for most of the typical spam (to which they claim they don't have anything to do with) but I believe also they are allowing spam to be sent to people as well. So between yahoo and (in my case) ccbill I am bombarded with too much spam!. I have a free email account on mail.com to which I've had for 1 month now and not one spam email. I am going to change again my emails to that from the ccbill affiliate area today and see what happens!.. I will be back with a report in a day or two. :) |
join dates speak volumes in posts like this
|
I have signed up for well over 100 programs with CCBill over the last 10 years and I have not received a single spam email during that time period that I can accuse CCBill of sending.
|
yeah I don't know that your theory is right because just as they have to much to lose sending the emails they would also lose if they sold the emails
The word would be on the boards everywhere if it happened |
I've not noticed any spamming whatsoever related to ccbill. The program owners might possibly have access to your email address and could be doing this. But that wouldn't be ccbill's fault. More thna likely I'm thinking your yahoo account is just getting spammed be someone else.
Do you rally think ccbill is going to spam you, an adult webmaster, with solicitations for Viagra? Come on man. :) |

I was just asking if anyone noticed this like I. Today I changed my email addresses again from the free yahoo account to my mail.com account and notice 3 spam messages already. Clearly I see a pattern here but don't take my word for it, sign up to mail.com (it's free) and then change your primary email address for each ccbill aff. program then you be the judge. Don't get me wrong I love ccbill, they are the most reliable company on the net and have been around forever. But I have a feeling they are selling off emails to spammers and this isn't cool!. But like I said don't take my word for it, try it yourself and see. Change 10 of your accounts to an email address you don't get spam at and you be the judge. |
i dont think CCBILL has something to do with that ...

Am I just not understanding what you are saying here? |
I do get the occasional bit of unwanted mail sent to my affiliate addresses but it's webmaster related. People pretending I'm a part of their program but being unable to supply me with an affiliate ID or the time I signed up, that sorta thing.
But.... I do get spammed to hell and back on dedicated/unique email addresses I've used for surfer signups. That is not necessarily ccbill's fault since program owners have access to those addresses. |
