i'm a huge fan of the last two albums, but i really don't like their new work..

it starting sinking in with me about three listens in. it's not my favorite but I do like it.

this album is just ideal for soundtrack to one of david's lynch movies.... :-)

Mezzanine is and always will be a masterpiece.

I can listen to that album (and I love to fuck to it), 100 times back to back and never tire of it.

I agree, after Mezzanine, it's been downhill. Though the soundtrack they did for that Jet Lee movie was pretty cool. Danny The Dog or whatever it was called.

Great news!!! Portishead rocks!

It´s an amazing CD!

The 3 wonderful CDs that this band has recorded made it one of the greatest band still playing around.

These guys made history.

The new album grows on you. I was disappointed at first (well actually I more like pissed off) but I've been getting into it more lately.

But like A1rek said, Portishead, Massive Attack and Esthero are acts that will always get the benefit of the doubt from me.


There's a new Tricky out too, I don't know whether to say it's good or not yet. But he's been so hit or miss since the 90's that I am not listening with any expectations.
