I'm also looking for funding (not that much, lol, because 8 mil is really a lot), sponsored funding where the sponsor will receive banner exposure on the future 18+ social community platform and within all outbound e-mail.

This future 18+ social community platform will be called www.naughty4nature.com, a mixture of a social community platform, adult site reviews and tons of free content for the member and lots of resources for the webmaster community.

You should get better domain first.

If I would get 8 mil of funding, would buy a new house, new girlfriend and then (if anything is left) spend on the project

I read in the domaining magazine Sex.com is supposed to be a social networking site soon too (launch planned for this summer).

Nope you see it wrong. Content will come from affiliate programs to promote their sites. And the money being made (around 80%) goes to charity and relief programs.

Business week said social networks will be the death of personal sites.

FaceBook got tons of traffic but it doesn't convert at all. LOL.

What a waste of 8 million in venture capital funds. I think a lot of people are just going jumping on the whole social networking bandwagon and don't realize that its not highly profitable.

Yeah i agree 8 mil is indeed a lot of vc funds.
with these funds you can make one of the bigger platforms, lol

Does facebook lose money?

Here is my advise and it's 100% free.

1 ) Fire the accountant and the other stupid idiots that approved the 8 million spending. Do it ASAP.
2 ) Get a decent domain (don't spend more than $200k for it).
3 ) Build a good paysite. $50k startup costs between design, content and other stuff will do the work.
4 ) Spend $500k in promotions.
5 ) The rest of the money till 1 million will go for experiments ongoing stuff anf showing on bro club meetings.

6 ) Get the other 6 - 7 millions that are left and buy a cargo ship that costs 30 millions. Since you have 20% of the price in hand the bank will give you the rest of the money.

You like this business plan? I have just saved you 6 million and opened another business line for you to make more money that you will ever make in porn.
By the way... a 100 millions worth cargo ship does about 1 million net profit with each transatlantic course and has about 40 years life. Each course takes about one month. your 30 millions ship will do about 400k net profit with each course.

I think it's time for you to hire another business advisor and perhaps another accountant.
There are plenty of better ROI and profit markets where you can invest your millions. Internet porn is just for low investment and low profit stuff. when you decide to make big money the operating costs are much higher than in other business.

I have more traffic than that site.
