Thoughts about the movie 10,000 B.C.
Story line sucked. CGI was awesome.
The thing that stood out the most while watching the movie was... People had the whitest fucking teeth back then. :) |

I now see why no one spoke in the trailers. Every time someone spoke the movie got worse. terrible film |
In 10,000 B.C., there was no language.

If this movie was based on anything historically correct, it'd be a big mess of sludge and grunting. Makes for a good porno, but a crappy movie. |
Still haven't seen it. Probably won't see it.

Recorded history might not have begun until 5-6000 years ago, but it's reasonable to assume we were speaking _a long time_ before we figured out how to write - or before a system of symbolic logic was even developed. Many fail to realize that as far back as 200,000 years ago, man was just as intelligent as we are now (we were, after all, the same species)- but they just had far fewer tools to help them along... and it's reasonable to assume (as we were already using crude tools before evolving to Homo Sapien) that we had a spoken language even before that. Plenty of animals - not just humans - have language, after all. |

As Dave Chapelle once said "I give those tities two thumbs down"

I'll watch this movie once it hits move central... for entertainment value, not historical accuracy.
Not that I'm expecting much from it, but seeing as I'm a movie lover I can't very well justify not seeing a movie just because some say it sucks. |
I saw this movie tonight. It was good but very slow to start with but picked up in the end.
