President Bush's mistakes

...

Mistake 1: Giving back a predicted surplus over a 10 year period (a paper surplus) with real money.

Mistake 2: Cutting taxes while increasing spending.

Mistake 3: Engaging in major combat operations without either recinding the tax breaks...and/or raising taxes...and/or cutting spending in other areas.

Mistake 4: Engaging in an invasion of Iraq without adhereing to the Powell Doctrine of warfare...without proper planning for worse case scenarios and making Rumsfeld the Secretary of Defense.

Mistake 5: Continuing on for year after year with the initial mistakes without any major adjustments.

This is a simplified version of what has basically put the country in the position it now finds itself in.

Every recount of the pertinent counties involved in the controversy...made by multiple organizations...showed that President Bush won Florida by more votes than he was officially credited with. One or more organizations did a recount of the entire state and the results were the same.

Did you ever watch the documentary called "hacking democracy"?

here it is on youtube..

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ch&pl index=1

There is a lot of info in this film that shows there was more than likely fraud in the Florida election. Procedures were not followed and subpoenaed ballets receipts didn't match the real receipts.

Not to mention the voting machines could be hacked by a 10 year old.

Yes...I have watched it. The fact is that would be...could be...and actual fraud happens in every election as well as mistakes and various problems with one thing or another. I think that elections actually have less of the above than in years past. In past years when the political machines were controlled by people in smoke filled rooms fraud was...known and pretty prevelant...in certain cities/states more so than others.

The vote count for both candidates kept going up as the hanging chads fell off.

The ballots were ultimately purchased by a college who did a recount based on who the voter was attempting to vote for, and Gore was the winner.

Can you provide a link? Up front I find it difficult to believe that anyone could do a count on who someone thought the voter was attempting to vote for. As I recall several news orgs and more than one University did recounts of the counties in controversy...and one or more did a recount of the whole state and all showed that President Bush won by more votes than was officially credited to him.

Btw hanging chads would be hanging because the voter attempted to vote for that person...so them falling off would raise the count. It was the counting machines that did not count hanging chads and that is what started the whole circus of counting hanging chads.

GITZINGER 03-08-2008 06:01 PM

You forgot the biggest mistake made by Terrorist Bush:

actually acting on any thought he's ever had.

on a side note:

this is post number 911

let the conspiracy theories begin!!

Of course the whole problem with the first election would have not existed if Al Gore would have carried his own state. Maybe people in his state were aware of something about Al Gore the rest of the country was not aware of.

If that's true whatever it was I'll bet they're sorry about it now. Somehow I doubt Gore is quite as retarded as W. Bush, and the Democrat as ruthlessly exploitative as the Republicans.

nico-t 03-08-2008 10:54 PM

bush is a fucking moron and so are you.

mikesouth 03-08-2008 10:59 PM

President Bush's biggest mistake? He didn't pull out and shoot On barbaras Belly...

Oh wait you mean the CURRENT Bush

Pics Traffic 03-08-2008 11:04 PM

Bush's biggest mistake was not to abort his first son when Barbara got knocked up...

If not for Gore's idiot wife, and her attack on the music industry, a lot of the folks who stayed home on election day would have got off their asses and voted for him :2 cents:

Paul Markham 03-09-2008 01:57 AM

Bush made no mistakes at all. None, zero, nada.

Do you actually believe he got elected to further the interests of the US or himself? He's going to come out of his 8 years as President a lot wealthier in real terms than he went in.

Of course if you think he's there to forward your interests after the last 8 years you need to wake up and smell the coffee.

GWB's biggest mistake was to try to do the right thing.

Too many Americans want quick fixes and they want government to solve all problems.

:(

Al Gore is fucking everyone over far more than Bush is and he's not even the president. But for some reason everyone loves him.

Tell that to the families of 100K Iraqis who've lost their lives ... or the 4000+ families of coalition troops that have died. Shall I continue?

Hey Al may be no saint, but saying he's fucked over more people than Bush is ridiculously absurd - even for the pro-Bush crowd.
