How to avoid getting tired? (Exams coming up)

Im in med school and have pretty important exams coming up. Normally I can get away with 7 hours of sleep and be fine but recently I am tired all the time and need like 10-12 hours and am still groggy during the day. I cant afford to be tired like this for the next week otherwise im going to poorly.

Anyone know how to stay awake, and most importantly, mentally alert without feeling tired?

Get some rest to recharge.

Or

Your choice of energy shots/cans or meth. :winkwink:

yikes, sounds like sleeping is your best bet!

its not sleeping trust me. and im not exhausted or burnt out either. i get these 'episodes' every little while where all i feel like doing is sleeping.. and this is going to kill me for exams after i worked so hard for the last few months getting ready for them.

im gonna try a ton of caffeine and guarana (sp).. something like adderall is going to affect my thinking and is going to take time to get, highly addictive, and so is not an option

Adderall...

as a college student myself... it is the answer to everything, trust me. i dont find it addicting either, maybe thats just my own personal reaction to it though? it doesn't affect anything negatively for me either.

do you have to see a doctor to get it?

i'm sure you won't have to look to far to find some adderal/ritalin kicking around...

No doctors lolol... adderall around here is everywhere, i just happen to know all of the people that are prescribed. They typically charge $5 for a 30mgxr and i usually get mine for $1 or $2 since they're my buds.

Basically you take a 20mg or 30mg and you can expect to not have an appetite, want to talk to everyone you see, but the most important thing.... NO MATTER WHAT YOU'RE WORKING ON, you're entirely focused the entire time. A 30mg for me will last 12-24 hours, depending on if I take it with food or not (I recommend not with food if you want long results). It also releases a ton of happy emotion chemicals to your brain (what are those called again?)

I could be completely wrong, but thats how it effects me. I'm not addicted either (that sounds cliche right?) but I take it maybe once a week?? Whenever I have tons of shit due on one day, ya know.

It makes my peepee smaller too cause it restricts blood flow so don't take it if you have a shitty heart.
