I'm thinking about moving to California...

well I've been thinking about it for at least a decade actually. I'm going to scope things out again in a couple weeks - so what areas do you recommend I check out? :helpme

tony286 03-06-2008 08:47 PM

seems like a cool place to be.would the guys in your band be moving also?

Wizzo 03-06-2008 08:49 PM

I would start by checking out your bank account, because CA is going to take 11% over 0 in Florida...:pimp

421Fill 03-06-2008 08:49 PM

California is pretty diverse... you like big city, or mountains, or the beach?

Suburbia but close to the big city - and somewhere where I can make a lot of noise without bothering neighbors (yea probably doesn't exist)

sure it does... Calabasas.. Agoura Hills about 45 minutes from Hollywood, and closer to the valley, with the beach just on the other side of the sanata monica mountains... feeling a little bohemian, you could even do Topanga.

Anywhere but L.A.

We have enough people here at the moment. :Oh crap

several of "the valleys" to choose from in the LA county area would fit this criteria. all have spots ranging from "upper middle" to "ghetto". your cash flow determines where you'll end up :winkwink:

If you move out here with a GF that is cool but just plan to be dumping her as soon as other girls see you are a caveman worthy of the affections of the opposite sex. Once they catch your sent you will feel like you are in heaven.

I can't walk my dog or go buy a box of Fruit Loops without running into a hot babe who is "game" for talking. Getting phone numbers is in SoCal is like shooting fish in a......well you know.

exactly - Florida isn't exactly an original music mecca - it's a white trash mecca but that's about it. :winkwink:

California has lots of traffic. Beaches are dirty too. Move to Mexico instead, anywhere but Tijuana. You'll find clean beaches and no traffic.

Buy a major beach resort and move into the penthouse. That's what I always do.

John. 03-06-2008 10:17 PM

Good luck with your move, ya lucky bugger :)

marcop 03-06-2008 10:47 PM

Please don't. This population here has more than doubled in size since I moved here in 1984. There's too many people here already. Thanks, and have a nice life . . . .

You are part of the problem. Try being part of the solution and moving back. Please take a couple friends with you.

Nothing personal.

Porno Dan 03-07-2008 01:27 AM

I moved to Studio City six months ago and love it here.

BradM 03-07-2008 01:32 AM

Orange County is amazing... but the noise thing? Not so much.. people here love their privacy and quiet.

Fap 03-07-2008 01:41 AM
