Question for the fitness buffs... muscle itch?
Have you ever heard of muscles itching after first starting to work them out?
I don't know if I'm imagining things or what. I've started to do some simple exercises. I swear to God it feels like my muscles itch every now and then. Like right now. I've tried searching Google for some information and I'm finding stuff about blood vessels rebuilding and reopening to allow more blood flow to the muscles now that they are being used more. Anybody have more information about this? Or am I just insane? |

Okay so the insane part is a given. :-)

Your sphincter muscle is itching for more workouts.

You should ask your doc.

I don't know if it's the same general thing, but when I was getting back into shape a few years back, I would notice my arm and stomach muscles having a slight twitch, followed by intermittent itching after hard workouts. After getting used to it initially, I used to use that feeling as a kind of guide as to whether I had worked out enough that day or not.

yeah it happens, but it just happens sometimes, even without working out. The word pulse seems better than itch.

Yeah when you first start back working out or go back after a long layoff, you may have some muscle pain, heavy duty soreness, and even some little spasms or tightness. Your 'itchy' nerves are probably affected by this as well.

Fuck me.
This is inspiring. Thank you for your help. |
If you are having itching problems its most likely due to poor circulation. Roger Clemens suffered the same problems.

Its called Jock Itch, not muscle itch, and technically your love muscle is not a muscle.
