His own words
"I have a great deal of faith in faith; if you believe something strongly enough, it becomes true for you. I would like to believe that my father is right here with me in this room and that he's my guardian angel, that there's life after death -- because if there isn't, why are we here? I don't believe that just flesh and bones can contain from the point of view of physics this very real recorded energy inside of us. Whether it's true or not, we need to believe it."

i hope for a miracle to happen:(

This is why he will die. There is no such thing as god, angels or guardians. If you have a mutated cell that turns cancerous and begins killing you and you live, it was as the result of some kind of treatment. Divine intervention = for idiots.

National Enquirer isn't Weekly World News. Most of their stuff is legit.

The Sun is a rag that will publish anything to gain more readers its a second rate shit paper that people ready mainly for the partly clothed models. Most of the crap they publish is only half truths

Bojangles 03-05-2008 04:14 PM

Damn, that's fucking crazy. I watched Road House just not too long ago.

Drake 03-05-2008 04:15 PM

That's sad. Hope a cure is one the way. Researchers have been trying to find one for 30+ years now :(

F-U-Jimmy 03-05-2008 04:15 PM

This is more like the truth:
"A representative for Patrick Swayze says he is being treated for pancreatic cancer but is well enough to continue working. The "Dirty Dancing" actor has a very limited amount of disease and appears to be responding well to treatment, according to Dr. George Fisher, Swayze's physician".

Well hope for the best, but fact is less than 1 out of 20 people are alive 5 years after first diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Kind of sad that here it is 17 years after Michael Landon died of this same cancer the survival rate has not increased one bit.

and to add from the article:

All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic,? Swayze?s physician Dr. George Fisher said in a statement.

Survival Rates
According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative survival rate is 20%, and the five-year rate is 4%. These low survival rates are attributable to the fact that fewer than 10% of patients' tumors are confined to the pancreas at the time of diagnosis; in most cases, the malignancy has already progressed to the point where surgical removal is impossible.
