How much does it cost to have your hard drive recovered?
 

I dropped my external drive off my desk like a dumb fuck.

The guys at the place i went to look at it said i need to take it to a drive specialist who can do a data recovery.

I can't find pricing on any of these guys sites.

Anyone know how much these drive recovery places charge to recover data?

If you send it somewhere, you may be looking upwards of a grand.

Be careful who you do biz with. Lots of those recovery places will jack up the price once you hand your hard drive over. They tried to do it to me so I just drove back over there, told them to fuck off, and demanded my drive back.
