My new puppy and some pics!
 

A friend down in Naples called the other day and wanted to know if I could take his Golden Retriever. He works as a Fireman and doesn't have enough time to take care of the dog and give it the attention it needs. I had been thinking about getting a dog and I wanted a Golden so it was a win win situation for everyone including the dog since I work at home and have plenty of time for him. " Marley " is nine months old, full of energy and missing some manners but it shouldn't take long to turn him into the companion Goldens are famous for.

After I picked him up and got him settled in I took a drive to check out the beach in Naples stopping just long enought to see they had another Bugatti Veyron at the Porsche Dealership this time in red and black and it was for sale.

I made it to the beach and it was a perfect day but super crowded.

Saw a guy out cruising the Gulf on his boat. Probably the same guy that will eventually buy the Veyron.

Stayed at the beach just long enough to catch another spectacular sunset off the Naples Pier.

Now I'm back home with my new puppy and with spring break coming up I'm already training him to retrieve something like this.

Golden Retrievers are awesome.
It's nice to get them when they are a little older & starting to come out of the puppy stage.
(they are so crazy as pups and stay pups for 2 years it seems!)
With training & time, in a year or so you will have the best companion you could ever ask for.

This is my second Golden Retriever and I remember going through the phase
this one is at now. They're a handful at this point but I know he will eventually
mellow out. I'm looking forward to the day when I can load him in the Jeep, drive to the beach
and let him chase seagulls all day. :)

Someday I'll try and get a shot of him launching off the dock as he chases his ball into the lake.

beautiful dog...i love puppies. i have a husky mixed with pit my self and i love her. her name is Cali- short for the state. lol

I have a friend who surfs and he named his lab Cali - short for California too. :)

Everyone that has seen him has asked if I'm going to re name him so I guess " Marley " is not
a popular choice. So far I'm undecided.
