Wow after the season he had last year and how far they went into the playoffs I thought he would take one last run at it.

That's insane...

DaddyHalbucks 03-04-2008 11:12 AM

He was one of the best ever.

Shannon G 03-04-2008 11:16 AM

Damn - I was hoping this was just going to be a joke when I opened the thread. It's been a long time coming, but I was looking forward to at least one more year.

I agree. His personality itself was priceless. Very humble man.

XSV 03-04-2008 11:21 AM

That sucks... figured he would stay 1-2 years more with the team they have now.

NETbilling 03-04-2008 11:24 AM

He may get the itch and come back. What a great quarterback.

Rodent 03-04-2008 11:47 AM

He leaves on top of his game thats for sure, he kicked ass this last year.

Lee 03-04-2008 11:53 AM

Not too up on the sport but even I know him, I think its great to leave when you have achieved such status. Better to be remembered as a great rather than someone in decline.

Boxers take note...

farkedup 03-04-2008 11:58 AM

Everybody remember Joe Montana in KC? All I can remember when I think of Montana is him running around with that giant leg brace on.

Part of me is very glad to see Favre go out on top... Part of me wanted to see him play till he's like 44 like Vinny

Brother Bilo 03-04-2008 12:00 PM

And now dawns a new era for Green Bay....the Aaron Rogers era :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

GAMEFINEST 03-04-2008 12:04 PM

He is the best qb ive seen

L-Pink 03-04-2008 12:14 PM

I'm sure he regrets the last play of his career.

VeriSexy 03-04-2008 07:54 PM

Damn. I wanted him to have one more crack at it

Spunky 03-04-2008 07:55 PM

He should have done it 5 years ago

helic0pter 03-04-2008 07:56 PM

God a sports career that long is almost unheard of, very impressive run.

Porno Dan 03-05-2008 12:45 PM

It's a shame that his last pass was an interception in the NFC Championship Game.

He is one of the greatest of all time, and will be missed.

LilBro 03-05-2008 01:03 PM

Brett will not, I repeat, WILL NOT, pull a "Seau".

Way too much class for that.

Montana did lead KC to the AFC championship game. He had 2 good years in there. :2 cents:

Current backup Aaron Rodgers. He is going to have a good year.

Bojangles 03-05-2008 03:22 PM

Brett was great. Friend of mine met him in a bar one time, got his picture with him and an autograph. My friend said he was a really cool guy.

I love going to Packer/Vikings games, been to some in both GB and MN... Vikings fans are classy. They love their team but they also love Packers fans, win or lose packers/vikings fans have fun both before and after the game...

On the FLIP side to that... BEARS FANS ARE THE WORST! 75% of them are total assholes while the other 25% just wanna drink and have fun with the rest of us. Don't bother going to a game IN chicago... truly horrible place for football.
