War in Latin America or not?

Things are moving fast - they talking like they want to go to war.....

Columbia are now saying Chavez gave Farc money.

The BBC are saying it wont happen. I am not so sure. Chavez wants to show the US what he is made of, and the US will support Columbia.

teg0 03-03-2008 05:28 PM

I doubt the USA would step foot in it. Just talk. Not much in South America the USA wants control of that it doesn't already fund vicariously *cough* cocaine.

How far can Chavez push it?

He is like some annoying guy at the bar - he will push and push until eventually you turn around and punch him in the face.

Then he will turn around and say to everyone - did you see what he did, he is so bad.....

Its what he wants.

The other is 'Give up drinking, cursing, drugs and sex. You don't live longer, it just feels like it'

Its not too far fetched to put Cuba, Ecuador and Venezuela in the same boat.

I hope it comes to nothing - the people in those countries don't want war either.

Colombia has been fighting an internal Guerilla war for more than 50 years ... most Colombians are backing up the governments decisions... and Colombia is ready for any threat from those two clowns from ecuador and venezuela ...

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-03-2008 07:29 PM

What is the feeling in Columbia?

Are you going to war - or is it seen as a drama over nothing?

The only one in south america who could force to start a war is Chavez. But Chavez is not so fool. He knows USA is waiting a minimal reason to get into Venezuela. Another Oil country would be great for them.

I think this is a circus of Chavez to keep talking about the two poles in south america, the pro USA (Colombia) and the opossition to USA (Venezuela, Bolivia, etc).

USA will keep his policy of support Colombia because they know that a secure presence in the subcontinent, so USA will use same policy than the used for Israel, every stupid action will be supported.

The other importat reason why a war won´t happen now is that Brasil is the "owner" of south america right now, and they don´t want to loose what they have been built since a long time.

EonBlue 03-04-2008 09:01 AM

This will likely become Obama's problem and since the far-left in the US adores Chavez and marxism the US will probably end up giving Chavez a pass and blame the whole thing on Bush.

He wanted to move to Colombia to film porn, I said no because I wanted to finish school...and he ran off like the pussy he is...
I sued, he agreed at the divorce to pay me not even 5% of what I deserved, and he hasn't paid...that was due in September of 2006!
