Since everybody and his mother is jumping on the doom scenario train, it's a pretty good indicator that we'll see it go up again, pretty much like the stock markets.

I was reading something like this too. Gold is soaring because govts are buying it instead of dollars. But historically the dollar always rebounds.

no. i don't think the US economy is gonna get any stronger soon. especially if we end the war in Iraq, housing keeps going to shit, oil keeps going higher, etc, etc...

I think it's going to take a temp jump after the new president walks in, regardless of who it is. Then it will slip down a little again, and then begin a steady rise and get stronger, and remain that way for some time.

+1. I agree. Bush administration did everything in their power to increase the oil prices and destablize the Economy.

I truly hope it will rise...otherwise Euro will become major currency...at least for us from Europe...and i really fucking don't want that:(

The more they cut rates the lower the dollar goes. You cant just print money out of thin air and expect it to be worth anything. :2 cents:
