I just bought Cannon XH A1. It looks like it can shoot much better then Sony FX1
.Much better colors. Plus i can attach Professional cannon falsh and shoot stills. What a camera. Wow...

Any one did any shoots with it? Please let me know...

I got it.. it rocks! works better than the sony in HD..

you do need to tweak the color some to make the color more vivid, there are some good custom presets out there for the XH A1

Please tell me how do i do it? Which custom presets? Shall i set it myself? Peace

do you shoot Pics as well?

It is a very good camera. HDV is on the way out but that won't matter. Handing tape off to people is so much more practical.

I have been shooting with the HVX200 and what a pain in the arse to deal with P2 files.

What I mean is that there are no more prosumer HDV cameras being designed. But tapes will be around for years and years. Fuck, I am even thinking about selling my HVX and getting the Canon A1 myself.

yes, I have a shoot in las vegas in a couple of weeks, photos and video

you can go to the DVinfo.net site and they have a group for the XH A1 and a download library all of all the presets.

Are these pics good as content for web sites? LMK

We can shoot foto while shooting video so if i hit button some times to make pics while video is going will i get good content from it?

yes, photos I shoot are for my website.
I dont use the video camera to shoot photos, I use a canon 5D for pictures

We got one, absolutely love it. For what you can get in the same price range/class I think it the best one out there.
I'm still liking the tape format personally too, even though it is on the way out. Tomorrow is gonna be sunny here in Van, so gonna take it out and shoot the other type of mountains for once. :thumbsup
