Mine has got to be in and out hands down!

Kermitt 02-29-2008 04:51 PM

Red Robin is always good

dav3 02-29-2008 04:56 PM

Red Robin is pretty good. But, there's this one local bar here that marinates their burgers for 24 hours, they are soo good!

In and out is yummy... Animal Style is the way to go...

Red Robin and some small "mom and pop"-type joints are also good for a burger at times..

Nookster 02-29-2008 05:15 PM

In n Out is always good for a burger, I love Red Robin too...but the very best burger I've ever had is at Claim Jumper and it's called the "Widow Maker Burger":

Vera's Burger Shack has got to be one of the best local Burger joint with about 10 stores all in B.C. at he moment with franchise opportunities to branch out through out all of North America in the very near future.

Burger Heaven is another local burger joint with awesome burgers. It's family owned and operated with 2 or 3 locations.

The Burger Bar at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas really deserves a mentioning here. I ate there several times the last time I was in Vegas and I must say that they make some of the best burgers that I have ever eaten. It is definitely not your run of the mill fast food burger joint but I would totally recommend trying it out for anyone that finds themselves in Las Vegas

JamesK 03-01-2008 12:10 AM

I don't know many burger joints but I love KFC's zinger burger.

baddog 03-01-2008 01:13 AM

In and Out has to be the most over-rated burger out there

damn - glad i don't live in Rochester - i'd be eating there everyday - check out the prices too - cheap!

they should franchise - garbage plate could be marketed well.

Juicy Lucy has, by far, the best damn burger to be found anywhere. It's just hard to find a Juicy Lucy...but they have one only a few miles from me :)

Totally fucking agree...we don't have them here in the south, but I went out to Cali and it's literally the first thing I ate when I got there, total letdown. Even the fries were shitty.

Five guys, on the other hand, beats the living shit out of in & out. Hell, even Fuddruckers is better.

jollyperv 03-01-2008 06:16 AM

Shit, anyone in NYC like Paul's burgers in St. Marks across from the big WAMU building?

Roald 03-01-2008 07:10 AM

we only have Mc D's and burgerking over here and probably some small burger joints. The ammount of fastfood stores amazes me everytime I go to the US.

Everyone here in town has their own "copycat" plate. We've got dumpster plates, rubbish plates, trash plates...you name it. But none of them compare.

That giant plate with two burgers, home fries and beans or mac salad is like $6. I used to be able to polish them off when I was younger, now they make a great meal and late night left over snack.

MandyBlake 03-01-2008 08:02 AM

gotta be the vortex bar and grill

I used to feel the same way but they grew on me, being the best fast food place closest to where I live.

Non-Seattlites are rarely impressed with Dick's but if you're from there it's burger heaven. First place I eat when in Seattle.

Herfy's! Used to eat at the one in Kirkland all the time. Too bad they all but disappeared.

Honestly, when I go back out to Cali I'm gonna give it another shot. My main problem was that it just wasn't juicy/greasy enough for me. I like sloppy wet, greasy as fuck burgers. In & Out just isn't that. If you guys ever get Five Guys on the west coast, give it shot.

Their fries totally suck.

Okay, so it is the best in the desert. Woohoo.

LeRoy 03-01-2008 10:03 AM

The Kind Burger in Newport Beach, Cassidys (Catch a disease) Bar in Newport beach serves THE BEST BURGER PERIOD . The only drawback is if you want fries you have to run to micky d's accoss the street and order the fries there.

Brother Bilo 03-01-2008 10:05 AM

Out here in AZ, Islands make some good fucking burgers, fries are ok, but the burgers are the shit.

In the Portland area, the place for burgers is Giant Burger. Only one I know of is in Lake Oswego, but I've heard they have others.

Easton 03-01-2008 10:50 AM

definitely Carl's Jr. :thumbsup

jollyperv 03-01-2008 10:57 AM

Come to think of it, you know what was another big letdown? Pretty much every cheesesteak I've ever had in Philly. Tried Pat's, Gino's and a couple others. Those places are nothing but tourist traps. Dry as fuck, even with the whiz. No love put into it whatsoever. Call me a retard but Philly Connection is the shit, and they have those everywhere.
