Sure you could "unlock" the iphone as long as you never intend to ever update the firmware.

You should have waited a few months and got one with 3G.

I have Converter, a unit converter including currency, weight, etc.
Also IM Chat, which let's you use your iphone to chat using MSN messanger, Yahoo, AOL clients

You can unlock and swap SIM cards right? I don't think Sprint phones have SIM cards. At least the ones I have don't.

Rogers wants to offer it but the price that people get in the US in terms of a plan to use the thing is way cheaper than what Rogers would have to charge. Something like $60 in the US and $200 here, which kinda blows cuz it looks awesome!

You can still get one that's unlocked off of eBay and put your SIM card into it and it'll work, but expect to be paying up the ass for any time you surf the internet.
