Suggest new IM. I use Skype and ICQ
I mostly use ICQ. I heard its owned by AOL. Is there any other cool IM that in your opinion are better and more ifficient then ICQ and SKype.
I am looking for something secure that is not spyed by or that has great story behind it, as in security wise. I would love to hear peopls opinion on what they perfer and use on daily basis. Cheers, Stasik. |
There really are no "secure" chatting platforms unless you're on a secured network. You'll always be able to get sniffed and spied on FYI.
Other than that I use AIM, YAHOO, ICQ, IRC (mIRC) |
AIM and Gmail are cool, Gmail is better because of chat history being saved on the web, and accessible from anywhere, plus no worry about loss of history.
ICQ is shittiest program I ever saw in my life. |
Gtalk, but I guess that google must collect your data like they do with Gmail...
Anyways, you can get 3rd party encryption addons for IM softwares that are not encrypted if you look around. |
I use pidgin client with icq, msn, yahoo and aol on it.
|
I vote for msn as well. So many people use it now and I never really have any problems with it.
|
none of you use Trillian?

Pidgin features multiple accounts on AIM, GTalk, ICQ, MSN, IRC, Yahoo, Jabber and a few more, buddy groups, rooms, plugins, searchable logs, everything in one place. The latest version is working flawlessly since months. (The previous versions crashed frequently). It's multiplatform, works on Mac, Widows, Linux However it's going crazy with more than 800 contacts... :thumbsdown |

I've been playing with pidgin lately. Its much faster than ICQ6 and has a host of great plugin addons to it. |
Pidgin/Adium + Skype here.
|
I am so confused.
