So 1st United Merchant Processing ends the call "Have a nice day you little faggot"

I decided to take an unknown caller from the receptionist, turns out it's a cold call for merchant processing services, sms billing, prepaid cards.

This came in via the MojoHost line but the guy is referencing 123Bill so I'm a bit confused. I politely tell the him that we already have a merchant processing solution for MojoHost and are not interested in any services that they have to offer.

He begins chatting me up about 123Bill and I state that it is already a unique billing solution and that this company is equally uninterested in any other payment methods.

We're bigger than Paycom...

We're bigger than CCBill...

We're funded by Goldman Sachs..

...conversation goes downhill but I'm still being polite... At some point he's asking me retarded questions like he's entitled to speak with me and I say look, this is a cold call and I'm simply not interested.

He begins swearing at me, throwing insults. Ends the call by basically telling me to fuck off and 'have a nice day you little faggot' before hanging up.

Definitely a first for me being spoken to this way, without provocation, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Discuss!

I think they deserve a big Go Fuck Yourself.

PaygeaGrl 02-28-2008 02:41 PM

I usually say " Fine, don't use Paygea..just wait until your processor shuts you down. Don't come running back to me!"....LOL..that's pretty funny Brad. You now have a great story to tell over drinks.

yah for sure.

next to hosting, processing is the most competitive sector of our industry imho, and that sounds like a terrible convincing point to me too. i prob wouldn't take calls from someone anymore after they said that to me.

:1orglaugh

PaygeaGrl 02-28-2008 02:53 PM

Just to be clear---it was a total 100% joke. I would never in my life say or do that. The guy was clearly a total jerkoff and I was making fun of that. Anyone who has dealt with me knows that I am always there to help them out regardless of whether or not they process with us.

hehehe

If I had a videophone today the irony is that I'm wearing a pretty plain jane shirt since we just finished moving our offices. On any other day it would have been one of my colorful hand paints. lol

I rarely assume anything, especially when it involves people I don't know.

Rand 02-28-2008 03:00 PM

Wow, Brad. Unbelievable.

I keep a list of competitors and this is one I've never heard of. Funny how their domain name is "stunt". :1orglaugh Oh.... 1st Unt. I get it. Good one.

So, we have 1st United Merchant Processing.

WHOIS lists:
mellul, elie [email protected]
1st United Merchant Processing
8800 bronx ave
skokie, Illinois 60077

So, I wonder, who is NMCash?

WHOIS lists:
Mellul, Elie
3900 MAPLE AVE
Northbrook, IL 60062
US

Assuming it's the same person (and with such an unusual name that's probably pretty safe) a little research showed that Elie Mellul was somehow connected with http://1stcofa.com/.
See this: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0159563.htm

Then this:

Elie Mellul (CRD #2126020, Registered Principal, Great Neck, New York) submitted a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent pursuant to which he was censured, fined $50,000, barred from association with any NASD member in any capacity, and ordered to pay $39,192 in restitution to public customers. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Mellul consented to the described sanctions and to the entry of findings that he effected transactions in the accounts of public customers without their knowledge, consent, or authorization. The findings also stated that Mellul refused to cooperate with the NASD?s request for information and/or documentation. (NASD Case #C10990143)

That certainly wouldn't be a dissapointment! Hypothetically speaking a recorded phone call could be extraordinarily entertaining... especially if you're leading the conversation!! LOL

Hahaha, I had to actually click the link because I couldnt for the life of me figure out why a processor would call themselves "one stunt dot com"...

Glad to see I'm not alone in the world.
