Motivation guru Anthony Robbins : any good for you?

I used to quite listening to his stuff until I went to one of his seminars about 8 years back.

Found the whole experience frightningly fascist and left early.

Have you ever "used" him to motivate yourself?

He's extremely effective this guy. Just attend every single one of his shows and I GUARANTEE it will bankrupt you.

End of the day, people who dont succeed in life never well. No guru is going to change that - there's just a very efficient marketing machine behind his "product".

I like his books and tapes. Sometimes we all need a kick start to get back on track to getting paid baby!

Best advise is from Charles Barkley "Pull your pants up, turn your hat around and get a fucking job"

Most people don't need motivation, they need a working system for getting things done. I just started using the "getting things done" system and it works surprisingly well.

I've also been using OmniFocus (Mac) with great success.

There are also quite a few getting things done (GTD) programs for Windows out there. If you're having trouble staying focused and getting things done, I would suggest you try the GTD system. I used to blame my lack of motivation on everything from caffeine to ADD. As it turned out, all I needed was a better way of organizing all my tasks.

Looks like a cool system.

My favorite Tony Robins quote (when asked if $$ can buy happieness)

"No, money doesnt buy happieness....but it's always nice to arrive at your problems in style"

Charles is great for quotes ... At a press conference after his career ending injury

"I'm just what America needs - another unemployed black man."
