Bush family oil interests

Seems like a lot of you might be interested in this topic and so might have the answer. Which energy companies (company?) does the Bush family currently have interests in?

I don´t know, but I can assure you that the war in Iraq has absolutely NOTHING to do with oil.

I haven't been able to find anything. I also did a search of SEC records with no luck. Anyone?

Bush-Overbey
Zapata
Pennzoil
Big oil alliances help put oil-friendly politicians in power
Arbusto Energy
Harken Energy
Enron
Chevron (Condoleeza Rice)
Halliburton

I guess if you want to call the Kuwait and Saudi govts oil companies that would be a start. If you want to know where their wealth really lies and how it ties to the Middle east, the oil industry, etc research the Carlyle Group.

They play in a much bigger game than some crap the SEC has filings on...

My bad if my question was confusing. What i meant is current ownership interests. Not connect-the-dot kinda stuff but just "George H W Bush" owns 4,7% of Energy Company X (still in business, sill has shares). Thanks.

Why doesn't follow-the-dots to the highest power in the country or world matter? Who needs current interests once you've attained that? If oil profits for those who helped him get there are a sign of success, then I'd say he's returned the favors by far, wouldn't you?

Huh?

Sure, it matters and it matters to some more than others but it is just not the question I am asking or interested in. I was unclear in my original question.

If I ask if anyone knows the capital of Russia it would be pretty weird if someone told me the capital of Japan and then asked why doesn't the capital of Japan matter. Sure it matters to lots of people but it is a completely different question.

That is a fine answer. Is it true then that the Bush family currently has no significant publicly known interests in any US energy companies? Does anyone know the answer to that?
