Wow...finally Network Solutions got served with a lawsuit....pissing people off!

If you havent noticed but if searches of domain names are done on NetworkSolutions.com , a few days later that domain is registered.... and by whom? Well them...

I guess the were being effected by GoDaddy's cheap rates and other sites....so NS registered your searched domains and was now only available through them for you to get that domain and now your forced to pay more $35! or $40 was it? wow....

Are there any other registers to stay away from that do the same ?

Not sure yet....will keep an eye....i guess the rest charge a normal fair fee for domain registration services....bad move for NS to do that...or thinks that $35 or $40 still should be the price to pay?

Why on earth would you buy a domain at that outragous price? $35 for a .com - that's insane.

I always thought that when I had clients telling me they'd paid upwards of GBP 60 (USD 120) for a domain, and was always shocked; but when you remember that some people out there just don't know better or have the time to look further, and come from a world where "property" equates to expensive estates, I guess you can't blame them for thinking paying less than $10 for a domain is a scam.

Network Solutions should lose their monopoly, they have proven many times they can't be trusted.

lol I bought my first 3 domains in 1998 from Netsol for $200 each

Painful learning experience :)

Zorgman 02-28-2008 01:02 AM

I purchased my first domain from network solutions back in 1999 for $75 USD. And it was a .net too. You learn from your mistakes. :D
