Help resurrect epornreview

I'm new to GFY, please help me

Here's my story:
I made epornreview.com a few years back in college just for fun, but all the sudden it started spitting out all this money and it was awesome:winkwink:.

The site has been feeding me revenue ever since, with minimal effort on my part?there was one redesign in 2004 I think, but other than that I'd say I only spent 80 hours a year on it (from 2003 after launch to spring 2007). The revenue paid for my college education, so it was enough that when it started to go down severely last year I tried to work on the site in my spare time.

I tried a ton of shit to try to get the revenue to pick up, as much as I could on the weekends: added a bunch of new features, new sites, tons of new indexed girls, more gallery links, more content, tgp style galleries, google adwords, broker traffic, and speed optimization.

I studied the stats, none of this seemed to help:Oh crap. There is literally no correlation between any of the work I did last year on it, and the traffic/revenue stats (except for buying traffic obviously)

So here's my question:
Anybody out there have any suggestions? I mean, I have no clue what other people make off their pornsites and/or how much time they spend on it, but in 2004 I made 80k and literally did not spend more than a couple days working on the site. It would be so nice to have that again. I just switched jobs and I don't have the time or patience to keep trying to revive the site and failing. That's why I need help.

I think I've narrowed it down to my Google ranking. Are SEO companies as easy as they sound? Can anyone suggest a good one?

Should I just give up? Sell the site? I'm pretty sure it would be worth a lot, it still made about 20k last year...

Should I hire someone to help me get it back up to speed? If anyone out there thinks they can revive the site, I'd be willing to work out a deal.

Well, thanks in advance for the help.

My old pal Blum -- you reviewed Spunkmouth at the beginning (2004) and I stuck around and visited your site until it was just unbearable. The spam and silly comments just got to be too much, and you never really seemed to maintain it by adding new galleries and weeding out all the pure shit people were posting there. In fact, I remember one of the last times I went there, and tried to check out the forums, the whole forum thing was taken over by hackers and turned to black. Before you do anything, how about just maintaining it? Update it regularly, and either hire a moderator or moderate it by yourself, and I bet in no time things will turn around.:2 cents:

Trade traffic with people.

Hi -

Traffic is fine, however, billy touched on a few critical elements. Updates, updates, updates. Even if it requires you to spend a weekend or two writing pre-made content or updates that you can cycle through a CMS at specified intervals.

I know first hand that Joe's system works pretty damn well, with minimal involvement. He runs a fair system, and it actually does convert pretty well. Here's a little bump for Joe.

I think the site still has alot of potential to go back to the revenues per month like prior, you have almost all the groundwork done, and a nice touch, is that its all fairly aged.

I wouldnt rush to hire a seo company or guy without really looking into them and making sure they arent going to dampen your chances of picking it back up.

From your own descriptions Blum, it looks like the site slid because you let it slide. Billy above pointed out some definate factors that lead to the slump, but everything seems to focus around the fact it was neglected.

Yeah, I like to keep it simple. Very simple.

Thanks for the bump!
