RSS idiot questions
 

I found one of my wordpress posts on someone else's site. I left all the RSS feed crap default. Is that the point of an RSS feed? To let me shit automatically post to someone else's site? Is that how it happened or did they just cut and paste me?

Do they have your linking codes too? If so, I wouldn't mind lol

show the site who copied your post if you don't mind, it is not hard to establish :) but first of all see if it's your own ref code like Ecchi just pointed out

actually I found it in google but they had updated since then and the cache was fucked up so I couldnt tell.

Anyway, is this likely form RSS? Is this the point of RSS ?

they shouldn't be doing that, but if you left the full rss in the options, then it is kida your fault

or if you add links right into your blog posts like there is for example on milf-blog.info it should keep your links in the post even on the other site so it doesn't really make a difference if anything it would be a good thing!

Does anyone offer free updates with your refcode via some kind of feed? I think I saw a playboy before.

definitely set your WP to summarize... that way if someone uses your feed, they can, but the readers will likely click over to your site... (give and take!)

I use Blogs Organizer so that option is built right in. However it's a paid script.

There is also AutoBloggerPro but it's another paid script. To be honest I've never looked for a free one because I have both of the scripts above. I'm sure there is one out there. If someone don't reply in this topic start another because I know there is a plug in to do it, I just can't think of any free ones.

btw if you are just running 1 or 2 blogs BO has a free version and you could just use it.

kard the purpose of rss feeds is so people can read them in a rss reader. That way you can subscribe to several blogs and read their content in one app.

You have to remember, the problem with this, is they baypass any adds you may have on your blog. It's this reason I personally don't publish rss feeds on my sites.

I want the surfer to vist my site rather than my rss feed.
