A single girl site with no webcam?
 

As you know im still trying to start my single girl site and a few days ago she came to me with a request. She told me pics and video are fine but she doesnt want to do a webcam show. Im going to go ahead without cam for now but do you guys think this will hurt the income dramatically?

I think that honestly it depends on the girls. If she gathers "fans" then ya, they will of course want the live one on one interaction with her.

But if you have enough other content, for the rest of the folks (not the die hard fans) you should be fine.

Way to go.... If you put her in a studio situation, maybe you could convince her there's some extra money in doing a cam show. I just asked about splits. Do you think 35% of gross rev is fair to start? too high, low, just right?

35% is too high for a girl that won't do camshows. I would recommend 30% since she is doing less work. You can keep members recurring if you have forum, a diary, plenty of updates and a girl with a great personality. Think of other ways to keep the site active.

put a number in the contract for webcam shows "just in case" she changes her mind later.

I don't know about that. I mean there are many many other ways one can be unique without being like every other solo girl out there. You just have to be creative. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that yes, we know it's a winning formula that performs well but that doesn't mean it's the only thing that will work. Just because 10,000 others do it, doesn't mean you do too. Use your brain and be creative and I bet that you will find something that works.

cams are nice but the girl sells for 99% the rest is added value, like design webcams forums screensavers wallpapers

make sure you get a good lookin girl that has an unique touch and get GOOD pics and vids, then 99% is done and like kelli said, be creative

Remember, there's always someone looking for something. Even if you think it's an idea that won't catch on to mainstream, you will find that there will still be interested (no offense to the following, but still consider: feet, hairy stuff, balloon porn, latex? Whatever).

Creativity is also key. See if you can get her to do maybe 10 shots a day over a long weekend, each wearing different clothes, in a different location, different acts - that way, if she bails, you've still got another 8-10 weeks' worth of content to revolve through the site.

Worst case scenario, you dump her, and get another college girl to take off. Who knows.
