I Got To Thinking...
According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, the resident population of the United States, projected to 02/24/08 at 02:15 GMT (EST+5) is 303,497,685.
So it makes me wonder, with all these people, why are there not more people than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and the other, running for President? There have got to be more people out there able to do the job. |

Nobody who would be capable of doing a good job would be elected, or would be interested in it.

They have to want to, be capable of and then be able to afford to.
99.99% cant fill 2 out of 3 criteria. |

Cuz you have to have been born in the U.S. to run and most people who are born in the U.S. are redneck idiots, or live in foster homes.

There are many criteria that a lot of people don't meet. first you need to be at least 35 years old and born in the US. That eliminates a lot of them. Second you either need the backing of your party or a ton of money or a way to raise a bunch of money in order to run. Hillary and Obama have spent around 50 million each just on the primaries. That reality alone eliminates about 98% of the population because 98% of the people regardless of age or birthplace don't have access to 50 million.
All of that said there are many people who just don't want the job. It comes with immense pressure and you are constantly under scrutiny. |
