[Biz Thread!] Buying Links and link strategies
What are your thoughts on this subject?
Personally I have been buying one way links for a little network of mine for a month time or so. It was going as it should and the sites were starting to rank on what I wanted them to rank on. But then all of a sudden all of my rankings dropped dramatically across the 3 domains I have been buying links fore... It is not the first time I see this behavior and i am starting to wonder if google might be punishing me for buying links with someone blackmarked as a link seller. Am I rihgt here? does this happen or am I seeing Ghosts?? If I am right then how the fuck can you avoid buying links at a site who are marked as a bad site by google? This is something that has concerned me for a long while now and I think a proper debate on this subject could be really good!! Fire away with personal experiences, articles, wise words or whatever you guys got!! |
Looking forward to see if there are any people left on GFY who actually wanna talk business

Google does punish sometimes for buying from known link sellers. but they usually punish the link sellers.
I have been buying links on some large TGP's and it has not hurt my rankings. |
At first you're going to see better rankings. As time passes, your site and links become less fresh, so you slowly slide down in rankings as other sites with fresh links rise up. Buying a couple links here or there is not going to give you the long-term results you would like, you need to put forth constant effort in acquiring more links.

That does seem like you were blacklisted for something. Can't really do much more than guess what happened.
