What's wrong with IBill??? Should I change to them or not???

I'm an Aussie and I heard that they offer a good solution to Aussie webmasters.

But before I move my operation over to IBill I would like to know what's wrong with them?

· Terrible sales staff only concerned with commission.

· Will refund/cancel charges at a whim (no resolution on your behalf). A customer could access your site for 5 months--sucking bandwidth--and if he wanted a refund at the last second, all he would have to do is go to iBill's site and push the refund button.

· 15% fee! Other companies are lower.

· Their stupid new portal (that's the clencher).

· Barely customizable join form (oh boy, I get to pick some colors....yippeee!)

I, along with most other Webmasters, are dropping them real fast. R.I.P.IBILL

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

IBILL IS TO THE ADULT BIZ WHAT BUSH IS TO THE WORLD!

-Conversions are the worst of the market
-support is worst
-their cgi script have tons of bugs
-they are arrogant, you are another bug humming over their ears, not a customer
-rebills die very fast with them.
-they issue refunds for whatever reason.

And all the other reasons marty draw above

I ended up moving my membership side of my site to Adult Bouncer because I BIll NEVER got their end of the code correct. I was just too small of a fish for them to mess with I think. I kept getting members pissed that the passwords didn't work. I had to manually add half of them. This was about a year ago though.

yes i have the same experience, the scripts are very faulty

What else?

I had Ibill when they used pincodes
When CCbill started we asked Ibill if they could install a system like CCbill
They tried and fucked it up

Ccbill came to the rescue and saved our ass!

I dropped Ibill and kept their 1 900 service

Than we didn't get paid on that forever because they had a problem, which didn't concern us webmasters!

Find somebody else

:2 cents:

check my sig, they are in the netherlands and been my backup for a while. They recurring policy is sucky but nevertheless its still an option

http://www.globosale.com - charges customers an additional 2.95 per transaction - however they have a shit load of billing options and do take Amex

http://www.dutchbilling.com - seems to be jumping into the exodus market from the USA

http://www.globill.com - seem to have found a loophole and moved to venus or someplace like that and doesn't have to play by God Visa rules

http://www.pswbilling.com - Has to bend over and take it from God Visa

http://www.ccbill.com - taking it without lube

and if you really want to practice your German skills try this link

Good luck sweetie

I think it's a fairly safe bet that iBill will not be the best solution for Australian based webmasters. They have poor client services, we often have to email our rep several times to elicit a response. It's rumoured they may be adding a couple of percent to their fees to cater for interntional accounts. They have some worrying and vague ideas about how to deal with Mastercard transactions. They are also very quick to refund customers regardless of whether a customer has actually had substantial use of the service they have subscribed to. More importantly refunded surfers cards are not always added to the "scrub" lists which means that you could be "screwed" by the same person twice!

iBill have a very large legacy customer base, much like Telstra does in Austalia. In coming months much of this legacy customer base will start dropping away and iBill will need to re-position itself in the third party billing market.

iBill will learn, like many other failed ventures before it, that being big doesn't mean you can drop the ball when it comes to looking after your clients. :2 cents:

you don't think that's because you have child porn on your site?
