Did that once a long time ago, and it was a shitty situation. I do back ups several times a week since then. Hope you didn't loose any date mate.

I had once laundered my cellphone by forgetting it in a bathrobe pocket....and it works like nothing happened!

My oldest son had someone's 3 year old dump juice on his laptop. Screen is shot and so is the keyboard. Told him that if he still wanted to use it he'd have to use an external keyboard and monitor. It's sitting in a box in a closet right now.

Well that sucks
wooahh...that sucks dude...fortunately you have a new computer...anyway be careful the next time...:D
reminds me of the time, I was so hammered I was making my mixed drink over my laptop, and the next thing I knew I was typing on a black screen, rofl, I woke up the next morning and poured poured about 2 shots of coca cola out of it.
I have like a tall coffee table near my desk to put my drinks and all the "spillable" stuff...
Ouch, :Oh crap that sucks for sure at least you have an alternative...
I had a whole glass of water go into my laptop recently. Heard a ZAP! and it went off. Turned it in all directions to get the water to drain from the corners then took it apart as much as possible, wiped down all the water I could, and used a blow dryer on the cold setting until I couldn't see any more water anywhere. Waited till the next morning and turned it on and it has worked perfect since. If any liquid is on the circuit board that the keys press on the keys will not work. You need to wait until it is totally dry to test it. Stick it in a sealed container if you can with a cup of rice and that will help draw out any leftover moisture that evaporates.
