not to get into it, but Genes mom was the only woman in her family to live through the jewish holocaust. Many jews did not circumsize their kids out of the fact that it would free them from certain beliefs held against jews at the time.

Ive always seen gene or as he was born Chaim Witz, struggled with his jewish heritage.

He only now, after decades of success, is boastful about 'being a jew" - but he was not always like that, and in fact, changed his name a few times etc...
