I made a post about this a while ago. Microsoft are skimming type in traffic. I have no doubt about it! The amount of times i've typed a url absolutely perfectly, and i've been taken to that page, are ridiculous!

You might notice, that sometimes it suggests a few other sites with similar domain names? Makes you wonder if those are PPC or something?

You laugh now. But wait till MS turns the skim-0-meter up to 95% and steal the internet from Al Gore! Then who'll be laughing?!

Im not sure if it helps but you can change this event. Instead of msn, you can direct traffic to other sites like Google or Yahoo.

chodadog 10-07-2002 09:48 PM

Resistance is futile.

Never happened to me, but then again I hardly ever use IE.

Tools: Internet Options: Advanced : Searching from the Address Bar : Do not search from the address bar

There is your fix.

I think Microsoft would do a better job running the internet than Al Gore. He's had his day in the sun.

It takes you to that page even when you correctly type a URL sometimes.

Microsoft Skim-0-Page ?
