For a small store front, Joomla and VirtueMart can't be beat.

I am going to build a mainstream store and was looking at oscommerce or ZenCart. What would you recommend that is better?

virtuemart kinda sucks. joomla is bloated.

check out magento - http://www.magentocommerce.com/

it's not ready for production use, but shows TONS of promise.

OS commerce has more community support, plugins and templates ( free / paid ), but it's open source status makes it vulnerable ....

I've been looking at this one too for a little while. Supposed to be production ready by Q1 08. Should be interesting...

Is Zencart an a-z storefront solution?
