Albums that stood the test of time and chronic radio overplay
I was just heard Basketcase from Green Day on the radio and I still like it as many times as I've heard it.
What albums can you still listen to from front to back? http://getsomenoise.com/albumimages/...Day_Dookie.jpg http://home.intekom.com/veroland/ima...outhanasia.jpg http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg These are just a few that I can still listen to without skipping many tracks, if any. |

Nothing by Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, or even the Eagles. I'm sorry; I'm sick of hearing them.

No offense, but didn't Toxicity come out in 2001? How exactly did it withstand the test of time?
|
I have to agree with Metallica's Black album.
Also Bob Marley's Legend album. |

7 years is a long time when you consider that songs typically are well beyond played out within the same year they come out. |

The self titled album was my hangover cd when I was driving home from a party in the morning. It was perfect for that shit. 40 ozs to freedom is the shit too. |

There are some good ones in here, but also a hell of a lot of crap. Just goes to show you, there is no accounting for taste.

Lots of good music in this thread.

radiohead- the bends
massive attack- mezzanine bob marley- legend :thumbsup |
Nothing newer than 10 years old OR by somebody called Jay-Z can possibly make this classification...
Also you can't include "greatest hits" LOL CCR really does it for me, along with Back in Black... sorry but guns and roses are TOO played out for me to touch. No Foo Fighters? Oh yeah thats right, always at least 2 songs on their CD's you have to skip... Green Day back when they were good was nice... I miss those days... Old school offspring before they sold out was nice too. |
