I noticed they were stealing templates from TemplateMonster.com, just altering them a little and than selling them as their own!

Yes, apparently some people have severe eyesight issues. Man, it's the same damn shit, they just added a cheap fucked-up looking character. In all honesty they made it worse.

i dunno, looks pretty hard to say that one isn't a copy, do you have any other proof besides the one match up? i bought a review template and for the most part have been completely satisfied with it, and have been considering buying another, but if you can provide any more proof that they are in fact copies. I won't bother buying another...

Firstly IF you want to steal from some huge-ass template designers at least make sure to do it PROPERLY and secondly IF you are going to write some huge-ass reply somewhere at least make sure you do it PROPERLY. Seriously now.

It's obviousely a copy, not inspiration, the color sheme and design elements are EXACTLY the same and despite of some minor header changes every designer could make you in less than an hour (except the toon) it's a 1:1 copy.

About the toons: Who steals and resells other people's work most likely prefers investing no time or has no skills, so I'd highly doubt anything they "created" is original.

Ya, it's a nice try, but I don't think it plays out very well. Something a little fishy about it all really. First he comes here telling us nobody is going to care anyways, then he realizes that people do care, so he comes up with the "press release" as a way of saving face.

if "Jim Campbell" is the spokeperson, how come it's you Tm who makes all the posts to the forums, it's Tim you speak to when you contact on ICQ, ec etc. Why have we never heard of Jim Campbell? What exactly does he do? He just pops out of hiding to make anouncements regarding ripped off content? lol

You sidelined the guy who made the themes eh? How about the OTHER themes this guy made, all the themes have the same toons on them for the most part, would it be wrong to assume that one person did all those designs? I'm sur eit's possible they could have been added after the fact, but if you ask me there's just too many loose ends that aren't tying up :2 cents:

I've bought one theme for $60, but I won't be buying any more at this point.

the same style toons are used on the majority of the themes, now who's to explain how these themes were made by different contributors? if you're going to skid the supposed 'sontributor' wouldn't you skid all his designs? this is onbviously a one man show with the perpetrator attemping to cver his ass with bullshit 'press releases'. Scum. I'd have to assume that all the themes were made by the same person, 2 of the tooned theme have already been zeroed out as copies, it's only natural to assume there's more. Who knows where the other templates came from or how far they've been editted to not be noticeable. I wouldn't trust buying anything here again.

Don't worry he's likely to be back with something new... they always do. Rather than put the same effort into something honest.

Now since the site is out of business I think is clear that they are scammers...
all this proofs are to much for them to handle it and they preferred to quit.

of course, they closed shop and took off. there's no information under the whois, they'll close all their accounts and start fresh either somewhere else with the same scam, or under a different name. closing shop was nothing more than a complete admission of guilt. they tried to cover their ass, and got called on it, and outed again, then they ran. this concludes this chapter... until next time folks...

I would imagine that someone from GFY went crying to GoDaddy and things are just "suspended pending investigation".
