YAHOO indexing way faster than GOOGLE?

Seems to me that YHOO is indexing sites faster than GOOG, especially when it comes to showing backlinks, did you notice that as well?

u-Bob 02-18-2008 06:29 AM

yes, i did :)

EscortBiz 02-18-2008 06:38 AM

who cares if they index every 5 seconds

Boobs 02-18-2008 06:39 AM

there is no money in yahoo :)

moeloubani 02-18-2008 06:51 AM

I think Yahoo is still very viable if they can get rid of the huge amount of garbage websites that end up on Google.

testpie 02-18-2008 06:52 AM

Yep - I have around 18,000 backlinks in Yahoo and only ~50 in Google. Then again, Google did drop me down to PR2...

Marshal 02-18-2008 07:10 AM

google is crawling (my) sites a way faster and more often than yahoo, yet again, the only difference is google is exporting inbound links once in a while (every couple of months).

adding new inbound links always improve your serps in google (it's matter of days or weeks), do you think google would know about them if they are not already crawled? :) i hope you are getting my point...

In case you had not heard, Google no longer shows all backlinks.

Thanks for the info., but it's all a bit irrelevant now - the only way is down for the domain which is now parked to try and make some money.

BOSS1 02-18-2008 09:25 AM

hmm interesting note, i always seen more back links on yahoo

You parked a domain because its PR went down?

110% true.

czarina 02-18-2008 10:13 AM

it's been that way for several months now

AssPirate 02-18-2008 10:19 AM

Google indexes a site faster than Yahoo before, and I haven't checked it out yet if Yahoo is now faster, Yahoo shows almost all the backlinks of your site while google hides it and only shows a few of them. You can see the real no. of backlinks using the Webmaster Tool.

Funny, our stats show you are 110% incorrect. :2 cents:

sortie 02-18-2008 11:56 AM

Yeah, yahoo's servers are faster since no one is actually using the search feature.

:1orglaugh

Google doesn't report backlinks like they once did, yahoo does a great job with it.

It takes me less than a minute, often under 30 seconds, for my updates to show up on Google.

I haven't ever seen yahoo pickup anything that fast.

AtlanticBucks 02-18-2008 01:02 PM

of course ...

Nah - I parked it because the host decided to close down (in fairness they gave two months notice and free hosting), and basically because it hasn't made me any money in over six months.
