Where is the official Visa announcement?
 

I don't understand how a policy change of this magnitude can fail to exist in any form other than secret correspondence between visa and certain of it's merchants. Where is the official press release, announcement or whatever. What is the exact verbage of the actual Visa policy change(s)?

Sorry if this info has already been posted but all I am seeing are 3rd hand rumors, total speculation and of course the little emails Jettis, CCBill, Ibill and Epoch have sent out.

I don't see any mention of it on visa's site (not newsworthy enough?) and they have not responsed to my email request for clarification of the new policies.

How is anyone supposed to make an informed business decision in the total absence of any actual facts?

I want to see a copy of this from Visa too.

I have a feeling that we might be able to get a copy if you ask the merchant accounts department of a major bank like Bank of America, Citibank, etc...

But to verify this is a worldwide thing, you would also want to get a copy from a bank in another Visa region like Canada, UK, or Australia

Well, if it comes out from the angle of "we want to run pornographers out of business" im really surprised that no news station is running a story on this. If they have known since July, something should have been said. I hate this "he said she said" crap, if the billing companies "hint" that they have something, then they need to post it, first hand.

True. We are readjusting our whole businesses based on conjecture and hearsay from a message that was 'handed down'. This ain't the 10 Commandments days...Visa should have some sort of info that we can review personally. How do we know the Big 3 aren't padding these costs and Visa only wants about $300 or so......?

I think the "Big 3" are jumping the gun while others are sifting through all the information and making logical choices before they announce anything. I was talking to Jettis on Friday and they said that most of the information we as webmasters have is just speculation and they will DEFINATELY have an easy solution for foreign webmasters. They could not go into detail because the "Official Announcement" wasnt handed down yet. Expect this announcement anytime now.

I think all of us will be pleasantly surprised :)
