Anyone having SERIOUS issues with Black Label Ads? (Adbrite/AVNads)???

They used to respond to emails / contact forms within a day or so.. but now it's taking 5-6 days or no response at all...

They no longer answer their phone.. (voice mail only, and they do not return phone calls)

They no longer have an address on their website and the domain is "Domain by Proxy"

They owe me about 1,000 bucks from ads i served (and another several hundred from ads purchased), and as far as ads i purchased all kinds of screwy things have been going on:

i.e.:
I purchased about 100 ads to begin between Decemeber and April, then about half of them showed up not to begin until 2009... emailed them a half dozen times and they said they were going to fix it.. and credit my account for the prepurchased ads.... they eliminated the screw ups but never credited my account...

And the remaining 50 or so ads were not being displayed on the sites and when you go to the advertisers page, it says the ads are offline, but i was still charged for the ads...

and their "site directory" is totally messed, nowhere near as good as it was before, most flat rate ads are offline, there is no way to sort the ads the way we used to be able to do it...

and most of the ads are now traffic from: china, vietnam, india, and other odd countries instead of the US/UK/ etc...

what the friggin hell is going on? I never had these issues with Adbrite...

and things were ok (so i thought) when it transferred to blacklabel.. but then at the end of january everything seemed to go to hell....

i noticed on other forums alot of other people were having issues, mainly with anonymous proxy browsing sites serving ads.. but this crap with normal sites is just weird...

it's almost impossible to get any contact with them at all...

the other odd thing is even though it is no longer adbrite, the charges on my card are all listed as adbrite..

something is totally messed up here...

BlackLabel adds is part of Adbrite. AVN is nothing to do with Adbrite or Black label Ads any more

I had some issues with them but they responded within 24 hours and sorted it out for me

avn sux now but adbrite/blacklabel i have had ok success with, but the old system was 100% better before the split.

I confused the whole transition thing, i had read about it but did not clarify the details here as i was just going from memory of what i read last year when the change was happening.. i know there were articles about all kinds of big money issues and transferring of this and that between the 3..... contract this and that.. in the end i don't care.. what does bother me is this:

In the end my question to your reply is:

Were those problems that were "sorted" prior to the last week or so of January?

because before that time i never had an issue... (i had small issues, but they were always resolved within a day or so, and people used to answer the phone.... but since the last week or so of January it seems things are just looking extremely sinister to me..)

it's almost like i am being given the run around and in the process of the past several weeks several changes have taken place and several complaints have been mentioned.. but when it comes down to customer service.. it's got to be the worst i have ever seen... i have thousands tied up with this company, incoming and outgoing, but i can even get the time of day from them...

it's just suspicious to me.. it reminds me of the thousands i lost from ibill giving me similar run-arounds :(

I mean adbrite still has their address on their site, but blacklabel pulled it... WTF?? why tke your address off of a site and then do a domain by proxy? in conjunction with no longer answering the phone or most emails?

It was around the begining of Feb. I did notice on thier website that they had a message about the responce might take longer than usual as they have been receiving an abnormal amount of emails. I was getting pretty confused because I was getting responces from both Adbrite and Black Label and I thought that the two companys had parted but they are one company it seems, and Black Label ads is just thier adult section. I have recieved my check from them.

It's just an all around good idea to never put all your eggs in one basket. As a Publisher you should be using an ad rotation system that enables you to juggle many different ad networks (adbrite/avn/etology/aaw/etc) and determine which ones generate the highest RPM (rev/1000 impressions) for you.

Back when I was running SickSiteNetwork we took it a step further and sliced our traffic in such a way that we sent some out on affiliate basis (CPA/RevShare), sold some on retail basis (CPC/CPM), and sent some to the ad networks.

As an Advertiser you should look at Traffic Sources like the stock market game: always keep a balanced portfolio. Even the best Traffic Sources dry up or get overexposed. You should also never put up with sub-standard service. Finally you should READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Ever read adbrite's? They actually say they're not promising you any specific number of clicks or impressions.

If you need personal contacts for either of the above companies I would be glad to share them with you.

Hit me up on ICQ tomorrow.

Just a heads up...

all was finally resolved (I think...) after an enormous amount of time and delays and back and forth emails...

they owe me like 600 from ads for this next check (and more beyond it), if i get that check this week, we're all good...

still have a few "minor" issues with ads i paid for that were screw ups that have not been credited back...

and my ads are showing again, but because of all of that downtime i started selling ads direct instead of using them, so i need to fix things with their ads on our 140 sites, but i'm making more by selling directly... so i am not sure what i am gonna do now.. (didn't sell direct till i had this issue)

Glad you got it sorted...a new business venture maybe with the selling of your own ads:)
