Thanks AVN Chris to tix for the GAYVN Awards Show Last Night
 

Baddog was in town (San Francisco) courtesy of AVN, and while I was meeting up with him at the lobby to go out to dinner, Chris from AVN came along and offered us free tix to the GAYVN Awards Show.

Since Baddog had his trusty camera on him, he decided to take some Red Carpet photos and pix of the show for FUBAR/AVN.

Not knowing what to expect (except lots of gay dudes, which is no biggy to me, since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area), we headed over there.

It was pretty comical, although lots of people were very seriously dressed.

I'm happy to report that the bartenders poured the drinks ferociously, just as I like them, so I had a good buzz going by my second Long Beach Ice Tea (about 15 minutes after arriving).

Let me tell you, when you put that many gay dudes in a room, the vamp factor goes W-A-Y off the chart...

The show kicked off with a 10-15 minute routine by Lady Bunny that was an absolute laugh riot!!! :1orglaugh

Seriously, the Lady Bunny opening set should be used at an AVN show or the Players Ball - you do not need to be gay to laugh your ass off to an act like that.

Afterwards, it turned into a typical awards show (yawn, thank gawd for the bar), and afterwards Baddog and I bolted over to Broadway to hit some of the straight strip clubs (a few of my models were dancing, so that was kind of fun, hehe).

Since you are gay, I can assure you that you would have had a good time. It was a good show - nice location, lots of pretty boys, etc.

As for the drunk factor, I'm a pretty experienced drinker, so I know how to get an edge on, without going over the edge...and since I am not gay, there was no danger of me getting too drunk to want to switch teams, or even switch hit for a one-time experience... :winkwink: :1orglaugh

I got the ultimate compliment the night before at a cocktail party.

Some chick from Italy came up and asked, "what are you doing here?"

Taken slightly aback, I asked what she meant.

"You aren't gay."

I was glad it was so apparent, although I am not really sure how she could tell unless it was her gaydar.
