Do you wear a luxury watch?

I was just wondering what type of fine watches the gfy community wears daily? I myself own a few luxury pieces like, AP, corum and rolex. What do you like? What is your dream watch?

J. Falcon 02-17-2008 05:16 PM

Casio...

dstaff 02-17-2008 05:19 PM

At the moment I'm rockin a Mont Blanc watch made for Lacoste

StarkReality 02-17-2008 05:29 PM

Most expensive one I ever bought was an Omega Speedmaster, but I'd really like to go for this one http://www.alange-soehne.com/en/watc..._perpetual.php

Shap 02-17-2008 05:30 PM

I'm a Paneristi myself. Love them and have a bunch of them.

DigitalPimp 02-17-2008 05:37 PM

Dream watch would be a Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie but I would settle for a normal Seiko Spring Drive.

Yngwie 02-17-2008 05:39 PM

I don't wear watches so I wouldn't waste my $ on one.

shermo 02-17-2008 05:39 PM

I normally wear a Movado SE, but it was recently stolen. I've been meaning to go get another.

halfpint 02-17-2008 05:44 PM

I have a 22 jewel claude valentini auto wind up thingy with a see through back

VicD 02-17-2008 05:48 PM

Swatch always...

Damian_Maxcash 02-17-2008 05:49 PM

I cant because 1. I cant afford it :) and 2. I am allergic to metal.

Every watch I have had makes my arm swell up - even Gold.

The brand I would most like to see on my dressing table is Jager Le Coutre.

tehHinjew 02-17-2008 05:51 PM

im saving up for this

http://www.laswiss.com/gallery/album...wissjpegs2.jpg

I always wanted a Movado as a kid, so when I closed a big deal (in mainstream stuff), I went and bought one, which I always wear as a reminder of the work and the journey, despite the urges to upgrade...5 years ago now :thumbsup

LiveDose 02-17-2008 05:56 PM

I wear an Ebel, a Rolex and a G Shock!

Babaganoosh 02-17-2008 06:19 PM

Movado SE and a Movado Portico. Looking at maybe a Tag Hauer next.

TheAgent 02-17-2008 06:44 PM

I use my blackberry haha, i have an old tag nothing crazy

Paparazzi 02-17-2008 06:46 PM

Certina DS :)

ultimatebbwdotcom 02-17-2008 06:50 PM

I wear a NOA. Mostly because when i was out looking for something I didnt want to get a Rolex.

They dont advertise much, they kinda do that whole snooty thing where if you find us, you find us...if not we dont care.

Tom Hanks and Steve Wynn wear them..

Calico Jack 02-17-2008 06:58 PM

I've got a Hugo Boss chronograph.

Thanks for the watch man I love it! hehe Jk, but I have been wanting to pick a Movado up. :thumbsup:thumbsup

BlackCrayon 02-17-2008 07:05 PM

My watch is made by roots. Just as good as a rolex. It tells the time just the same.

tiger 02-17-2008 07:12 PM

Really there is no need for watches anymore, other then as a fashion accessory.

Just ordered a new one :) :thumbsup

I also lost my wedding ring a few weeks back. I've been having bad luck with jewelery.

Spunky 02-17-2008 07:41 PM

I have a nice Timex :)

i like watches maybe cuz i used to have alot of replicas... now that i think of it replicas help the watch industry since it gets people interested in buying real ones.
Anyway im not wearing replicas anymore, right now ive got a seiko since i aint a baller that can throw away 10k for a watch. But when that moment comes i think i will be going for either breitling or rolex, i like their models. This is the watch i got now:

Yeah the brand name is Panerai. They are not only gorgeous watches but actually a good investment. I have many of them and they've all gone up in value. The company does a great job and keeping the production numbers low and the fan base is huge. There are a few of the watches they produced just last year that went from $9000 originally and are now re-selling on ebay and privately for $25k+

PersianKitty 02-17-2008 09:14 PM

I have two Rolexes. The one I wear all the time is a this one

MandyBlake 02-17-2008 09:17 PM

nope. since i've been in this biz i've bought two watches. a fossil watch that i never wore and a citizen that i wore more but now it sits on my dresser. i've never been a big watch person.

After Shock Media 02-17-2008 09:56 PM

When I use a watch it always is a pocket watch. Never paid much attention to name brands. I just find vintage working ones I like and get them.

fuzebox 02-17-2008 09:57 PM

I love watches, they're the only piece of jewelery a man can really wear.

I love my Tag Heuer chronograph automatic...

Jager Le Coutre has been leading the way for like 200 years :thumbsup They make the sweetest technology concept watches.

Chef86 02-17-2008 10:23 PM

I lost my old watch. The strap broke off while I was riding my bike and couldn't find it on the trail anywhere so now I gotta get myself another one. Can't afford one over $100 though :(

My fave watch I have is the Zenith Open Star in white with white leather band that I had to special order. Not many companies make Ladies automatic watches & not many really nice luxury watches for women that aren't "fashion" ones. If anyone has any good recommendations for high end ladies automatics lets hear it,
http://www.lvmh.com/images/left/2006Zenith-BabyStar.jpg
i've got the one on the left

tony286 02-17-2008 10:34 PM

casio , im too careless for nice ones.

~zombiegirl~ 02-17-2008 10:36 PM

I need to get a Corum Bubble cuz they're discontinuing that last I heard. The one with the skull & diamond, but the small size... very rare.

Daruma 02-17-2008 10:45 PM

Sweet looking watches,I've always thought paying thousands for a time piece or status symbol is a waste of money

Lace 02-17-2008 10:52 PM

Movado for me...I love the simplicity of it.

It's not about status or brand, watches can be both amazing pieces of art, and testaments to real skill and craftsmanship.

LB-69 02-17-2008 11:10 PM

I have ceramic Rado now, but I wanna get Corum Golden Bridge, but freaking price of 15K USD or up for platinum version keep me hesitating..:winkwink:
