Why has Kimbo picked MMA over boxing?
I've seen his backyard fights, saw this fight last night - he throws punches, no martial arts at all - why isn't he trying to be a professional boxer? it's a sport that is crying for an American heavyweight contender - and the money in boxing is still WAY bigger for the fighters.
i'm waiting for these MMA guys to wake up and demand what prize fighters get from big fights. |

There is no "Muhamed Ali" of MMA. Nobody made shit in boxing until he showed up. |
Much more fierce competition in every level of boxing.

He doesn't really have the boxing skills, more of a brawler

he couldnt last more than 3 rounds in a boxing match before he passed out. Did you see that video of the fight he lost? he was so tired after a few minutes he could harldly move.

Boxing is alot more corrupt then mma at this point. I doubt he'd be anywhere near the title without making substantial sacrifices, which in the end woudn't be worth it. He's got alot more to make in mma.

Kimbo is a FAR CRY from a professional boxer.

boxing is dead.

Kimbo it's not a boxer .period .!

on a side note, i'd like to see Kimbo vs Gannon again in MMA cage
do you guys think Kimbo would win this time? |

Because if he boxed he'd have to fight guys like Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko. Also, boxing isn't something you just "jump into" at such a late age in life. If you look at all of the best boxers ( Ali, Fraizer, Pavlik, Taylor, Jones Jr., Tarver, etc... ) they all went to the olympics and started at an early age. MMA is really an untapped, underdevolped sport which is blowing up, and it is so random that guys like Gabriel Gonzaga can high kick a k-1 kick boxing champion ( Mirko Crocop ) to sleep.
