It's grate and has a lot of examples, but it seems a little too scientific. Hope it helps...

all pagerank articles are a good read, but when it comes down to it, they're still someones interpretation of it and google is constantly re-working it's algorithms, like the way they generally fucked up good in the last index :(

We will never be able to know exactly how Google ranks the pages, but articles like this one will help us better understand how PR works and how we can build a bigger PR.

I'm just sharing some informations. I'm not sharing any secrets.

Sharing secrets would mean me telling you how to create thousants of dynamic pages that look exactly like static pages(with the html extension) but do not even exist on my server, yet they are indexed by Google.

By giving a link, maybe a newbee reads it and is real smart and says hey I can crack this thing and devotes all his time and gets all his pages ranked higher then you...

It's simple. Create a good site with lots of different text on lots of pages and get people with quality sites to link you from their pages. Also note that it's important which page they link to you from, usually a links page has a much lower PR than a site's main page.

What I do not understant is why so much buzz about a simple link? I know the article is good, but it's not the best kept secret regarding SE optimization.
