this might seem like a really stupid question but fuck it... how do you determine a site's google pr? I see everyone on here selling sites and saying how their pages are PR0, PR1, etc etc

how do they determine that?

you can see it in the google toolbar. or you can search for page rank on google and you will find sites that tell you a domain PR

get the firefox addon

Get the "Search Status" plugin for firefox. Displays PR, Alexa & Compete and let's you lookup stuff like backlinks, indexed pages, archive.org, whois and other useful stuff on the fly. Combine that with "SEO for Firefox" and you have a bunch of useful free tools available with just one of two clicks.
