LOST fans? Best. Theory. EVER. ("timeloop")

Okay, if this theory isn't correct, at least it is brilliant. It almost makes me think it was "planted" by abc.

It blew my mind.

Also, here is a new "lost" Dharma training film: "The Orchid" that totally supports the timeloop theory.

It's interesting, but I'm still holding on to the theory that this whole thing is inside Hurley's head and he's been in the ward this whole time.

That one seems pretty strong to me......although maybe they show him being crazy just to through folks off the trail of what the real story is.

CaroMark 02-14-2008 10:55 AM

Sometimes it just all makes the brain hurt.

bronco67 02-14-2008 11:13 AM

I sometimes wonder why no one seemed to ever notice that Richard was the same age no matter what age Ben was in the story.

This theory seems to address EVERYTHING. Even the polar bears. :)

XMaster 02-14-2008 11:47 AM

very cool theory.

Honez 02-14-2008 12:08 PM

Wow wow wow. Absolutely flippin' brilliant!

RP Fade 02-14-2008 12:24 PM

Very interesting, I find it funny that my wife and I are hooked on a show that we have no idea wtf is going on lol :1orglaugh

JUSTB 02-14-2008 12:25 PM

I know this is going to make my brain ache but I am going to check out that site....

I love Lost.

Tom_PM 02-14-2008 12:29 PM

While I think that this theory is quite interesting, and something I'd thought of myself (only in part:time travel) having been a star trek fan since the 60's, I'm not convinced. Just because.

There are several interesting LOST theories out there. That timeline loop one is pretty good.

campimp 02-14-2008 12:39 PM

wow, cant believe i just read all those pages :)

gotta say, after so many years of really wondering what the fuck was going on with that show, that this seems like a pretty realistic explanation for the whole show...

good find Halcyon, thanks

crockett 02-14-2008 01:14 PM

someone either had too much time on their hands or they have the inside info.

Zebra 02-14-2008 01:33 PM

Damn, that guy had a lot of spare time to think all that through. Will be interesting to see how much of it is correct. It feels like it might be on the right path, especially after seeing that Dharma video with the looping rabbits.

Azlord 02-14-2008 02:00 PM

That's an interesting theory. At least it's original.

Ben.Z 02-14-2008 02:01 PM

Great find Halcyon! :thumbsup

Tom_PM 02-14-2008 02:13 PM

Personally, I seriously doubt that the writers even know the answers yet.
Whispers? Giant birds that speak? Giant 4 toed statue foot? Black smoke? Hut that appears here or there, only some see it, Jacob hates technology?
Remember Hurley painting a picture of what looked like an igloo and an eskimo? Remember Penny's guys somewhere in the arctic snowcovered waste? Walt's weird ability to see a picture of a bird in a book, then one of those birds brains itself to death on the window where Walk was? His comic book? Remember the soccer team at the airport and the camera flashed past them, and if you go slow the numbers on their jerseys were the same as Hurley's winning lottery ticket etc?

Good writing, making it up as they go I really think so. Tossing fun things in there just for fun and piqued interest. Yep yep, fun fun. If God "loved" Jacob, does he not anymore? God even loves Satan as one of his arch angels.. the most powerful and willful one at that. 4 toed magnetic alien's dude. I'm tellin ya it's plausible.

Wow, valentine chocolate makes me hyper :)

JUSTB 02-14-2008 02:18 PM

Ok, that was a good fun read and not nearly as brain freezing as I thought it would be!

cardinalvices 02-14-2008 02:20 PM

Thanks so much :)

chri$tian 02-14-2008 02:57 PM

see after seeing that video i think it disproves his theory and makes the multiverse/ island is a nexus theory make more sense.

The co-creators of the show said no way would they do something like that (pull a Dallas or Newhart dream ending).

_Danielle_ 02-14-2008 04:32 PM

Very interesting...I like this one best for sure! Can't wait to see it tonite!

Agreed, it would be a weak way to go out, but they are certainly setting it up. I mean, he saw that crazy bald guy on the island, and in the future he's seeing Charlie. He's delisional enough to make it seem believable.

Honestly, the ending of this show is going to have to be spectacular in order to live up to the hype. I don't envy the writers of the show at all.

tyler (durden) 02-14-2008 05:00 PM

this was a badass read and the only theory i've ever though might be true was time travel

jollyperv 02-14-2008 05:09 PM

How could someone possibly have that much time on his hands....Jesus

RevengeBucks_Monica 02-14-2008 06:09 PM

I don't think there's any reason at all to believe this will have a stupid ending such as it's all in someone's head (oh what a bad dream I just had!).

I like this time travel theory but I think some of it is a real stretch. Like the whole aging of the womb theory to explain why the pregnancies don't work isn't quite right.

Perhaps time travel is the explanation but this person hasn't got all of the details right.

I like the idea of parallel universes and LOVE that this show is possibly exploring that.

gideongallery 02-14-2008 06:50 PM

anyone watching the enhanced version of lost that is airing right now
the extra information is pretty cool
suposedly the 1-888 number that was advertised in the video give you more info about the show

D 02-14-2008 06:53 PM

Interesting Stuff. :thumbsup

Miss Munki 02-14-2008 06:54 PM

That's a damn good theory that seems to make a lot more sense than the show does right now. Now I'm even more excited to see how it all unfolds:thumbsup

campimp 02-20-2008 06:48 AM

but why is it sometimes day and sometimes night on the island? seems like it would always be the same time of day

Tat2Jr 02-20-2008 09:01 AM

I was going to bed 2 hours ago, and then found this thread (damn you!). Like many times before Lost theories have kept me awake, but at least this one makes sense (thank you!). Awesome find.

Brujah 04-12-2009 10:33 PM

How's this theory holding up now?

A truck driver does . I have noticed a bunch of times where I see the path of life I am supposed to go on right in front of my eyes. It is kinda of freaky. This is the kinda stuff I am in to . I know I have no college education and yet I have 4 websites and one is destined to be popular. There is a loop for sure in time and a reason for everything . I wish I did not drive truck Lost sounds like my kind of show.:thumbsup
