What to see in Dublin?
Help me please!
I'll visit Dublin next week for 5 days. I have friends there, but on the first 2 days they can't come with me to walk around town. What places do you recommend there? I already have two: the Jameson factory and the Gunniess factory :) Anything else for the daytime? (in the evening I'll be in Temple Bar :) ) |
wow...jameson, Gunniess....wow...now just hit the local corner store for a leprechaun trinket & roll out
mission accomplished - signed bitter irish guy |
the U.S. embassy.

Go to the Guiness Brewrey.
http://www.guinness-storehouse.com/i...sp?source=gusa I went a few years ago, good time. At the end you go up to the top of a tower, drink guiness and overlooks Dublin. |

I asked you because I alone can't find better places. And yes, if I go there I want to see these places :321GFY |

I grew up in Dublin, take a walk around grafton street, its pretty cool, lots of street musicans/ entertainers, just a very vibrant place, it's pedestrian only so you wont get mowed down lol.
Here took this from some site for you. For the sightseer, Grafton Street is close to Dáil Éireann, the Irish houses of Parliament, The National Museum, The National Library, the Dublin Civic Museum, Dublin's Mansion House and Trinity College. Or take a stroll around St Stephens Green. As with anywhere in Dublin, all the other major attractions are a 15-20 minute walk away. Have fun and wear some warm clothes. |
Lots of stuff.

went to dublin for 7 days back in september 2006. Awesome trip and awesome time and was so surprised by how HOT irish girls are. Beautiful Blonde babes...
There is a bus tour you can do that you hop on and off at anytime for the day. It takes you to literally everything Dublin offers to the tourists including the Guiness factory. Make sure u go to the bar at top to pour your own perfect pint. Guiness in Ireland is 1000X better than Guiness in USA... Temple Bar was weak when i was there. Wound up going to more of the lounge places and met many women so be open to other nightlife venues just in case.... Have Fun u lucky bastard!!!! |
get one one of those double-decker bus things, as long as it's the hop on/off kind you can hit anything to see in the city for as long as you want. the drivers/tour guys are helpful..yeah, sounds touristy but is pretty convenient
phoenix park is huge, you can go through it on one of those buses, see the presidents residence, and deer, birds, trees if you like that sort of stuff also, if the weather's decent you can pop on the train that runs along the bay. it's not a long trip to hit 1-2 of the little towns on the coast, don't remember any name except dun laoghaire. or you could just spend both days sitting in a pub. there's beer, the people are awesome and no walking around :thumbsup |
I've still never been, but it's on the list for sure. I'll be there one day.
