This is old news but we have yet to see it happen..... It will change how we all do business for sure!

They just forget to mention that it will only work on a super computer, kind of like they did with Vista.

I've been hearing this since 1993. They made a version of Windows 3.1 with direct support for touch screens.

that would make mulitplayer poker a lot more fun

businesses. appearantly they are going on sale very soon. Imagine a table at a restuarant made of this. Use the table order and to pay. Means waitresses can serve more customers. That means more money for businesses.

i've used interfaces like this before here in l.a.

it makes ordering so much simpler and its fun too. no waiting for the waitress to come back, and in between you can play games. its awesome.

It seems like neat and fun things to do, but I don't see this as a revolutionary thing. This is the kind of gadget that would be an upsell to digital cameras, cell phones, etc. I don't see people going out to buy this for business, just as a recreational extra to cameras and phones.

Now once true commerce comes to these devices, I'll be impressed. Like being able to play casino games over these devices or being able to do restaurant orders directly from your table, etc. etc. That will really change the market, but as is, it seems like a cool gadget and still is several years away from coming to the mass market.

I once did a presentation at a seminar with a smart board which doesn't support multi-touch.....just single touch. And it wowed everyone in the room. It made everything I was doing in Photoshop look 1000x more impressive.

Is this along the same lines of "Offices will be paperless societies..."?

That's Multi-Touch Technology. There is a bar-counter using it, CNN is using it in the situation room, the iPhone has been using it for more than a year and now Mac laptops are getting multi-touch trackpads. Pretty cool technology.

The important thing is what small tech company is public and has some part of this?

it's an old news but I'd get tired of having to move my whole arm instead of just my wrist (as with the mouse)
