Anybody getting an icq error?
 

It's telling me i have to download the latest version to sign in. Wtf? Isn't that up to me?

Same here, had to install it in order to log in back.

And man, ICQ is getting worst and worst, even more children oriented.

Man i really don't want to upgrade. Everytime i upgraded in the past it was shit. I dont need all the new features and fancy graphics etc. I cant believe they force you to update.

I'm using Miranda and had the same error message. Updated it to 0.7.3 and the error is gone

Upgrading makes very little difference, so stop worrying and just upgrade :) I think there's a couple of new buttons, including an invite contact to conversation etc ... but not enough to scare anyone :)

Pidgin, Miranda or Trillian - get used to using any of those instead, sooo much nicer... I'm using a rather old version of Trillian and haven't had to upgrade it :)

i work on a w2k server though when i use windows. maybe its just xp or something ... i wonder about those auto "updates" ... what are they putting on here?
