I need a wordpress pro

I need someone that knows WP inside and out. Not just how to install plugins or submit a post, someone that can figure out a bug and fix it. This is not a server issue, it is a script issue.

I can not just upgrade (theme won't work). A reinstall "might" help but there are hundreds of users and thousands of posts and I have to know none of that will be lost.

Anyone up for the task?

Is this the same problem you were having a few weeks ago?
An upgrade would be a good start, since we didn't get too far last time. If you don't feel comfortable backup up the database and reinserting the data I can handle that for you.

And that would require some updates to the theme you're using to make it compliant, if you don't believe it is compatible at this time.

A lot of sites had/have this problem with the latest version.

you can always log into phpMyAdmin and backup all your databases. This way if you were to reinstall WP you would just have to import them back using phpmyadmin when you have WP reinstalled and the new database(s) created.

Not sure if it will keep 100% of the stuff there, but it worked for me the last time I had to do that.

As long as it is the same version .... Newer version sometimes do changes to the databases ....
When you actually " upgrade " thru a script, it takes care of that ... and not always ...
The best is to check the notes on the updated version.
