Amsterdam closing Red Light District?
|
Newsweek, desperate for stories again?
|
It's true.. :(
|
sad ... but true :(
http://www.simplyamsterdam.nl/news/L...ost_ sold.htm good thing i was able to watch in cassa rosso last year ... their rotating stage will be missed lol |
Leave Amsterdam alone.... those fuckers have already started meddling. You can no longer get a beer in a coffeeshop. To have a beer while you smoke a joint you have to do it in a weed smoking friendly bar. Sucks.
Don't mess with Amsterdam you fuckers. |
pretty shitty to see that happen. wow.
|
one way to kill the amsterdam popularity
|
more mosques is what amsterdam now needs!
|
Good news. Adam's RLD was in the pits with the most unfriendly hookers on the planet.
|
government is evil, always was, always will be.
|
I think they will come to their senses once the tourist euros start to dry up.

was a present from the Local authorities to a bunch of muslims who publically stated it's their goal to turn the Netherlands into an Islamic State :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

as stupid as saying Visa can't do without the money they make in Porn :winkwink: |

I thought the red light district referred to sex more than drugs? |
They were talking about this last year on the BBC news and they also want to close down all the pot cafes
|
we need Franck's official statement on that

I know several people, and at least one of those two things is all they travel they for. I wouldn't fly over for another Amsterdam convention. |
they're losing insane amounts of tax euros, no??????!!!!!!
|
Why did they have to close it down before ive been there!
|
a good 1/2 of people traveling to Amsterdam aren't going to see the Anne Frank house all sober....thats all i got to say
|
i will never get laid again
|
"A recent survey confirms the sentiment: the city administration's polling agency found that 67 percent of Amsterdam's population supports a clampdown on sketchy business. The Amsterdam City Council approved the plan about two weeks ago by an overwhelming 43-2 majority."
At least Holland is a democracy, not like certain places i won't name. |

so, no blow and hookers!
No more reason to visit the dump! Damn fools closing the places down are the same fools that frequented the places of ill repute! |
Quote:
you wouldn't be able to buy drugs....that's something they will NEVER be able to ban.....they would shoot themselves in the foot if they tried to. Coz in the coffeeshops it's a controlled environment and easy to monitor. Monitoring and controlling street and other location dealing would be a hell of a lot more complicated. They're not that stupid :winkwink: |
How many fucking times is thgis going to be reposted?
|
so sad ... :(
|
They are going to ruin Amsterdam, hella shite since it one of the best places I've ever been to! Amsterdam I pray for you!
|
Seems to me that the article is just talking about the sex workers .. not the coffeeshops. In fact, the word "coffeeshop" doesn't even appear in the article.
So, you'll still be able to get stoned .. just no hookers. |

I wonder which of the "sins" makes the most tax dollars for Amsterdam, the drugs, the red light district or the casinos. Well, casinos probably wins, but between sex and drugs, I wonder which makes up more.

Dutch IRS. They are the only one with a gaming license and that will NEVER change. :2 cents: |

the people in this thread stating that closing down all those business' wont hurt Amsterdam and the Netherlands as a whole, financially, are not using their brain today. sorry but there is no other way to say it. everyone(and i mean ALL of em) that i know ONLY go to Amsterdam because of the hookers and drugs, i mean there ain't a lot of culture in the town and you can see every single museum and other site in a matter of two days. there is really no other reason to go Amsterdam, i mean shit, even heiniken moved to Rotterdam. as far as Europe goes there are much cooler cities to visit them Amsterdam. the prostitution isnt the draw as much as the drugs are, hookers are legal in most countries that i know of here in EU. Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czech, Hungary, etc.
if you think visa doesn't like our money, your also wrong, if they didn't want it, they wouldn't still be taking it. simple equation. after all, it is their ball. they only let the people they like play with it. |
