feel fat? replace a meal with this...

1 package of celery hearts
1 package sugar-free Jello

Scenario 1:
Prepare the jello well in advance so you'll have it ready as a "desert." Take apart the celery stalk. Wash well. Sprinkle liberally with salt to taste. You can also put any other non-sugar based spice on it (pepper, dried jalapeno flakes, whatever). No dressings unless you can get a hold of Maple Grove Farms of Vermont Sugar-Free balsamic vinaigrette (0 calories a serving -- make sure you don't accidentally pick up the Fat-Free variety as it still has sugar in it). The celery sticks are about 6 calories a piece. Your body actually uses more energy digesting it than those 6 calories (therefore it's negative calories). The jello is your desert and is only 40 calaries per ~ 1.5 cups (which should be very filling).

Scenario 2:
The combo! This one's a little weird, but it's worth a shot. Cut the celery into bite sized pieces and mix in with the jello. Cool in the fridge for ~ 2 hrs and eat up. The same caloric intake as above still applies.

I know it sounds weird, but this is a great low-cal cheap meal replacement. Too bad they don't still make celery flavored jello -- a failed experiment in the 60's...

This is why people choose to be fat.

I'd suggest to those people that you can use this to bring your weight down so you can eat normal meals of regular food you're used to. Smaller portions always help, too. The trick is feeling full after a small meal and this always does the trick.

I am filing this one under interesting. If applied, can certainly see how this could work.

I was expecting this:

Celery actually takes more calories for your body to break down than it has content. In this way, it's like the blog of vegetables.

yep if you were stuck on a island with nothing to eat but cases of celery in theory you would starve to death.

Scenario one is just like eating a salad and a desert. Nothing too barbaric about that. Just super fucking minimal.

I would say just get off your ass, and move a little and drink more water. I have already dropped 10 pounds in 2 weeks doing just that.

A hard boiled egg or two would do the same.

gimmicks do work short-term, but won't work long-term.

keeping the weight off requires a real change of habits, diet + exercise.

it's a physics thing.

and getting off all junk food is a main part of the equation, and without some study most people will never understand why they need to do this, here's a start:

good luck.
