Whites to be minority in US by 2050

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Immigration will drive the population of the United States sharply upward between now and 2050, and will push whites into a minority, projections by the Pew Research Center showed Monday.

If current trends continue, the population of the United States will rise to 438 million in 2050, from 296 million in 2005," an increase of nearly 50 percent, the study by the Washington-based think-tank said.

More than 80 percent of the increase will be due to immigrants arriving in the country and their US-born children, who will make up nearly one in five Americans by 2050 compared with one in eight in 2005, it said.

Whites, who currently make up around two-thirds of the US population, will become a minority (47 percent) by 2050, the report said.

The Hispanic population, currently the largest minority group, will triple in size and double in percentage terms from 14 percent in 2005 to 29 percent in 2050the report said.

The Asian population will roughly double in percentage terms, from five percent to nine percent, while the black population will remain static at around 13 percent.

I want to have babies with a spanish girl, I will help contribute to the issue and will be making sure my kids fit in. I will be old by then, so i wont care.

I thought this was common knowledge.. but i dont want to sound like a racist but this is kind of messed up. Illegal immigrants taking over the country?

Hahaha, I'm not worried about whether I'm in the minority or majority, I'm just thinking about making sure I know Spanish and have plenty of water. I'm sure I'll need to know how to warn trespassers how to stay off my property and away from my water supplies in; press #1 now for Spanish and #2 for english....where the hell r all these additional peeps going to fit?

I really doubt whites will be in minority.
They are currently 90%.

The population would have to double to make that become 50-50, and even then thats without any white people having sex lol

We need to lace crack, cocaine, and meth in America with something that will make the user sterile. That should take care of some of the problem.

We need to bring our kids home from iraq and put them on the mexican border, that would take care of some of the problem.

We need to institute a strict work-for-welfare program where one member of every welfare family must work 40hrs per week in order to be eligible, and they could only draw welfare for 2 years. Family with 3 or more children should not be eligible. That would also take care of some of the problem.

Black people should be offered reperations for slavery. (in the form of a ticket back to Africa) That might also help.
